My Background

I began studying Chinese Medicine over 20 years ago with Qigong in 2004. My main training was from Bruce Frantzis, a Taoist Lineage Holder and Qigong Master. His teachings, and the way he taught, were so in depth and yet accessible to a Westerner, they gave me a thorough foundation in Qigong and opened my eyes to the incredible field that is Chinese Medicine.

In 2008 I started a degree in acupuncture at the University of Lincoln. I was very fortunate as the course was taught by lecturers who had been distinguished professors at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. The training was in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements. I graduated in 2011 with a BSc 1st Class Honours. I am also certified in Qigong and practice daily.

I am a licensed acupuncturist and a member of The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), and adhere to its professional standards and safe practice. I also continue to develop my acupuncture knowledge attending post graduate training courses. My practice of acupuncture is thanks to the many great teachers I have had, including world renowned experts in their field.

My Approach

The body always moves towards balance if it can, one of my teacher's explained, and in my clinical experience I have found this to be so true. One of the main aims of the practitioner is to help remove the obstacles, thereby allowing the body to help itself. I love practicing acupuncture, it is a great joy to see so much benefit come from just a few needles.
